What Kanab is known for
Kanab sits in Kane County, in the far southern reach of Utah, and it is genuinely central to some of the biggest names on the map. Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell, Zion National Park and the north rim of the Grand Canyon are all within reach of town, which is a lot of scenery to be the quiet middle of.
The town has its own history too. It is known as “Little Hollywood” for the western movies filmed here for decades, and that history is still celebrated every year at the Western Legends Round-up. The North Rim Regulators, a historical single-action shooting society, is based here as well. Just north of town is Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the largest no-kill animal sanctuary in the country.
None of that is ours to claim credit for. We mention it because if you are looking at land in Kanab, it helps to know what kind of town you would actually be living near, not just what the lot itself looks like.

Kanab country is open ground under a big sky, and red rock is never far from view in any direction, which is where our name comes from. We have sold and set factory-crafted homes from our lot on Highway 89A since 1995, and we are licensed as a general contractor in both Utah and Arizona, so we can take on the pad, the water, the power and the permits ourselves rather than handing that off to someone else.
